Abstract: The South Side Civic Association was reputed to be the oldest civic organization in the United States. Its mission was to promote awareness of public issues and the growth, development and wellbeing of the south side of Milwaukee and Milwaukee County. In 1999, the organization merged with the Council for South Side Advancement to form the South Side Advancement and Civic Association.
Scope and Content: The collection consists of meeting minutes, financial statements, membership applications/forms, constitution and miscellaneous ephemera.
