United Community Services Time Capsule

Given to the Milwaukee County Historical Society for safekeeping until it’s 100th anniversary in 2009, its anybody’s guess as to what lies in the time capsule donated by the United Community Services of Greater Milwaukee. Initially named the Central Council of Philanthropies in 1909, a series of assimilation with other organizations created a uniting various welfare organizations into the United Community Services of Greater Milwaukee in 1960. United Community Services merged again, and for the last time with the United Fund in 1975 to become the United Way of Greater Milwaukee.
