Celebrate Wisconsin’s rich tavern and brewery culture with this special event highlighting Bottoms Up! A Toast to Wisconsin’s Historic Bars and Breweries, a new book by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press. Activities include short presentations by authors Jim Draeger and Mark Speltz, a craft beer tasting hosted by Point Brewery, cocktail demonstration by the staff of Bryant’s Cocktail Lounge (9th and Lapham in Milwaukee), open euchre, “shake of the day,” snacks, and much more! See a new display of vintage Miller High Life advertisements and other brewery items from our artifact collections. When you leave MCHS, be sure to grab your “Bottoms Up! Bar Passport,” that will help you find your way to the handful of local taverns featured in the book.
