Christopher Bach Violin

Bach was a celebrated violinist, composer and director and emigrated to Milwaukee from Germany in 1855.  By 1864, he had created the Bach Orchestra, whose popular performances were held in the Schlitz Beer Gardens and Turner Hall.  By the end of his career, Bach had performed at the World’s Fairs in Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City, as well as composing over 370 musical scores.
