Abstract: A pioneer and the founder of Sheboygan, Farnsworth (1795-1860) worked as an independent fur trader in Marinette, in what was then the Territory of Wisconsin. He lost his life in the Lady Elgin disaster of 1860.
Scope and Content: Indian treaties made with Menomonee Indians by Farnsworth and others for the erection of a saw and grist mill, a letter from the Office of Indian Affairs, and a clipping describing the documents by Daniel Wells before an annual meeting of pioneers.
