Abstract: Richard Perrin (1909-1990) was born in Milwaukee and received architectural and engineering training at the University of Wisconsin, Layton School of Art and the Beaux-Arts Institute of Design.  He served the City of Milwaukee in several capacities with the Milwaukee Housing Authority, Redevelopment Authority, City Plan Commission and the Department of City Development. He was passionate about Wisconsin’s architectural history and wrote many books and articles on the subject.

Scope and Content: The collection consists of correspondence, clippings, appointment books, reports, programs, awards, slides, and other ephemera that detail Perrin’s civil service as well as his interest in preservation of Milwaukee’s historic buildings.
