Abstract: Wilhelm Strothmann was born in Westphalia, Prussia in 1804.  He came to America in 1832 and arrived in Milwaukee in 1835–possibly the first German settler in Milwaukee.  The homestead is located in the Town of Greenfield.  Harold E. Strothmann, great grandson of Wilhelm, has compiled family history information and photographs.
