Costume composed of unknown animal skin and fur. Has hood connected at top, with long sleeves and full length enclosure. Zipper runs down the center.
This costume was designed and worn by the men who played Metik the Eskimo, the caretaker of Santa’s reindeer during Schuster’s Christmas parades from 1927 to 1961. Metik would accompany Santa on the parade floats during the parade and to visits to Milwaukee schools, hospitals, and orphanages.
