Cloth and batting body composition. Appears to be hand-made with a stocking-like materal. Brown material covers the legs, arms and body. White cloth composes the overalls and face. Face has been either painted on or drawn on with a marker. Wire loops jut out of the arms where the hands should be.
Early brownie doll style that was later used as the inspiration for Billie the Brownie. Doll has similar characteristics to Palmer Cox’s Brownies. Cox’s brownies were highlighed in books and illustrations from 1879 to 1920.
