Friends of MCHS
The Milwaukee County Historical Society is supported by an organization whose purpose is to provide additional financial assistance to the Society through programming and the donation of volunteer time. Members of the Friend’s organization are a diverse group, but all share an interest in our local history.
In addition to getting involved in the Historical Society’s regular programs and events, the MCHS Friends coordinate a full calendar of events all around our community. Many events feature a behind-the-scenes tour of places and organizations that are not open to the public. Past examples include a tour of Miller Park with Bud Selig, a walking tour of Forest Home Cemetery guided by brewing historian Jim Kupferschmidt, and a visit to the famous four-sided clock at Rockwell.
