Johann Philip Best

Johann was the brother of Jacob Best, the founder of the Best Brewery, which eventually became the Pabst Brewery in 1889. Johann emigrated to the United States in 1843 with his brother and sisters as well as their father who was in his 80’s at the time. Johann was married to Anna Maria Finger Best. Born in February 1784, he died Februaury 1867.
