Abstract: Doris Komperda was a Milwaukee housewife (married to Anton) and mother (one daughter-Joyce). In 1955, she was selected as one of 100 to take part in the 7^th Pillsbury Grand National Bake Off in New York City.

Scope and Content: The records consist of correspondence, clippings, photos, programs, menus and Doris’ narrative of her trip and experiences at the Waldorf Astoria and at the competition in New York.
