 Abstract: In 1916, nearly 200 women attended the first meeting of the East Side Suffrage and Civic Study Club.  Three weeks later, the club’s name was changed to the Citizenship Study Club, and then in 1921, the membership changed the name to the Milwaukee Woman’s Club.  Its object was to “seek enlightenment on public measures, to give united service for public welfare, and to promote cultural development for its members.”

Scope and Content: The collection consists of scrapbooks, club calendars/rosters, correspondence, and miscellaneous publications.
