Abstract: John J. Reiss was a graduate of the Wisconsin State College in Milwaukee (now the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) and an art devotee. He helped organize the International Print Show held at UW-Milwaukee in 1956. He also authored and illustrated three first concept board books: Colors, Shapes, and Numbers.

Scope and Content: The collection contains copies of letters from the White House and several foreign capitals relating to the International Print Show held at UW-Milwaukee in 1956. Also included are newspaper clippings related to the Print Show and Reiss’ mechanical bean bag display.
