Education is at the core of the Milwaukee County Historical Society’s mission. Our educational services include programs that directly serve students, lifelong learners, educators, and special interest groups. The Society offers many on-site and virtual educational programs. We also offer curriculum, teacher resources, and several video series for classroom use.

Student Experiences
The Milwaukee County Historical Society offers students a variety of ways to learn about and experience Milwaukee’s past. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the delivery method of our offerings have broadened to ensure we have a fit for all comfort levels. Our virtual and in-person programs include:

Traveling Treasures
Travel Back In Time
Traveling Treasures is an educational program for seniors offered by the Milwaukee County Historical Society. Using a hands-on approach, facilitators can share historic artifacts with guests and discuss how they were used.
Remember and Reminisce
Guests can hold, touch, and remember when these objects were a part of their everyday lives.

Travel Fees
The cost to rent the MCHS Traveling Treasures Box is $50.
