Gettelman Tray

Established in 1854 as the A. Gettelman Brewing Company by Adam Gettelman on the Menomonee Valley. The Gettelman Company is responsible for several innovations in brewing including a steel barrel, a glass-lined beer storage tank, and a beer pasteurizer. In 1961, Miller Brewing Company took over the company, and shortened Gettelman’s Milwaukee’s Best Beer to Milwaukee’s Best—a brand that is still around today.
